Many thanks to all those who supported the BTA in its campaign to get the ban on bicycles at the new Perth Underground station lifted. Bicycles are now allowed in the station, but remember that the only bikes allowed on trains during peak hours at the moment are fold-ups.
Thanks also to Jim Krynen, Cycling Integration Manager, and Reece Waldock, CEO, of PTA who have provided consistent support for the cause of cycling and demonstrated the efficacy of reasoned negotiations. A great result all round, now we just have to make sure that we keep the goodwill by showing consideration and commonsense when dealing with fellow travellers.

It makes you wonder why on earth the ban was created in the first place.
Let me guess, bicycles weren't factored into the design of the station? :/
I arrived at the station before ban was lifted at just past 10:45pm on a friday night , hardly anyone there but the scottish security fellow was having none of it, before I opened my mouth he told me to hop it. It was pouring with rain too, so I had to cycle down to esplanade where I was allowed to board, not much logic to that ban. Glad it's gone.
